Description
The self-adhesive luminescence foil can be used for short and long-term bonding. The material is applicable
indoor to concrete, cement, untreated and treated stones, tiles ceramic and easy removable
with extremely low or no residue even after long use. LumiWalk foil is designed to be very robust
against abrasion and other damages caused by normal use of the product.
LumiWalk is made from a metallised film with a rough photo luminescent non-skid special surface
coating. The luminescent pigments charge the light and generate the glow of the foil in the dark . The
film adheres with a special pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive covered by a removable liner. LumiWalk
is adapted for safety applications. The extremely high slip resistance allows you to apply the product at
many places with high frequency and middle to high mechanical abrasion. The specially aligned multilayered
structure allows the application of the foil on rough and/or textured surfaces as well as on
stairs. LumiWalk is approved and tested by several test labs and has been approved by the Euro-Norm
as well as DIN/EN.
Durability
The durability of LumiWalk depends on the way the product has been applied – especially also on how
it has been adjusted to uneven surfaces as well on the surface in general on where it has been applied.
Furthermore it also depends on the mechanical use of the surface where it is applied (high frequented
area or not). We recommend a 12 months use for indoor applications.
Storage
The product has to be stored in cool and dry conditions and applied within 12 months after purchasing
the material. The product also needs to be stored packed with a light absorbing packaging covered.
Waste handling
LumiWalk can be burned after use and it is recommended to handle the production waste and
the used material as industrial waste.
Warranty
The product has been used in many places under all possible conditions and has proven its reliability
and performance. LumiWalk has been applied in the daily market for many years even before digital
printing has been introduced. Many of our applications are 1 year or longer in use and still look great if
properly used and applied. All product warranty automatically ends as soon as the product has been
applied to any surface.
Printing method
The material is approved to be printed with UV curable inks on flatbed printers. As the product has a
rough surface we recommend special attention to avoid head crashes as the material may has a slight
tendency to curl especially at the end of the roll. Silk Screen and other printing methods maybe possible
– but have not been tested or approved by Asphalt Art
.
